This blog has been about raising my son Yousuf in the occupied Gaza Strip while working as a journalist, and everything that entails from potty training to border crossings. We are currently in the United States, where we have re-joined Yassine, Yousuf's father and my husband, and Palestinian refugee who is not allowed to live or visit us in Gaza. Together, we endure a lot, and the personal becomes political. This is our story.

A Dream to Serve
