Olympic Trials
I was picking up my daughter from soccer camp this week, and there, practicing on the field right next to her was the women's national Canadian team prepping for their game here in SLC against the good ol' USA! The girls were mesmerized watching them practice. A few of the girls even got included in some video shots of the news coverage, and were subsequently convinced that they were going to be YouTube stars because of it.
I love strong female role models for my girls, and I loved observing all of these little elementary aged girls watching such accomplished athletes play on the field right next to them. I felt so lucky to live in such a great city where we've not only got access to great opportunities, but we've hosted the Olympic games, we're hosting trials, and we host all kinds of great sporting events across the board.
