whole nutmeg nuts

In a small sauce pan, add 1-2 cups of water and your homemade potpourri ingredients. Let simmer on the lowest heat. Once heated, the aromas will fill your home so you can then turn off the stove. Never leave a pot unattended. I like to warm my potpourri in a mini crock pot. When finished, simply reserve the brew for the next use. Add additional water as necessary. I can usually get one batch to last through the holidays with new orange slices added weekly. If you're not sure what of your favorite scents, start simply and add a new ingredient with each use. If you add an ingredient you don't like, simply strain the water and start over.
Gather your favorite scents in a cute bag, tie a bow and you're ready to deliver!
