If you didn’t get a chance to view their weekly fireworks display held each Friday evening this summer, you have one more chance.
The city of Grapevine has hosted fireworks each Friday this past summer and the this upcoming Friday (September 1st) is your last opportunity to view them. As nearby citizens, we shamed ourselves into finally going this past Friday. We paid $5 at a local park to get a better view of the free fireworks.
Not only were the kids excited, but we thoroughly enjoyed the cool evening air and the sound of the gentle waves hitting the shoreline. Being on a lake while watching fireworks made an awesome combination. It was the perfect end to the weekend before school started this past Monday.
The fireworks is a 12 minute show that takes place over Lake Grapevine beginning at 9:30 pm. The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau recommends viewing from one of the lake parks or on top of the garage at the Gaylord Texan Resort for the Garage Rock Out Party.
