Picture my morning. My husband was home from work, and I finally managed to peel the baby off of my neck, change into running clothes and set my preschooler up for some distraction so I could duck out for a quick run. But alas, my preschooler seems to have serious mom radar and not only sees me but sees that my shoelace is untied. And it begins.

She wants to tie my shoe. Does she know how to tie a shoe? Absolutely not.

So six minutes later, I'm trying to peel her fingers off of my shoelace as she's yelling, "Myself, myself!!" And it spiraled from there.
