Giveaway: A new must have product for pregnancy!
When my first child was born in 2009, I was all about stretch mark prevention. I was on it, I was diligent, I was obsessed. I read, I researched, and I lathered. And guess what? It wasn’t that great. I would slather on that greasy cream and slide into bed like a well-oiled farm animal. In fact, I was pretty sure I was staining my sheets with grease.
Fast forward two years, and I was pregnant again. I still had thoughts of stretch marks and the best ways to prevent them, but quite frankly, I also had memories of those greasy sheets and how I felt so oily when I went to bed that I thought I might just slide down to the floor one night in a big pregnant heap. My prevention efforts were not quite as high as my first go round.
And here I am pregnant again. Like really, really, really pregnant. Like the kind of pregnant where people look at you with concerned glances, like maybe you shouldn’t be out on the streets with the rest of the public. Relax people, I have five weeks to go. I’ll tell you this. I am not carrying a small baby. And with this gigantic belly, I felt for certain that stretch marks were certainly in my future.
When I was asked if I would review The Boppy Bloom™ Skincare Collection, I couldn’t possibly have said yes any faster. They had me at the word “Boppy” since I have fond, fond memories regarding the Boppy Company and their incredible nursing pillow that saved me during nursing. I’ll be pulling that same Boppy pillow out of my closet in about five weeks.
And this is my third baby. I know I need to be doing some stretch mark prevention groundwork. And I also know there must be an alternative to something other than sliding into bed feeling like you just stepped out of an oil bath.
Let me tell you this. There is an alternative and the Boppy Bloom Skincare Collection is it. When I first cracked open the bottle, I gave it a sniff because let’s face it, if you’re anticipating feeling greasy, you want to at least smell good. And smell good I did because the white citrus shea scent is amazing. Loving the smell, I went about applying it, preparing to slip and slide into bed like I did in the past and imagine my surprise when I was the farthest thing from greasy. It was incredible.
It’s truly my new BFF. So much so that I think I want to keep using it after the baby is born just because I don’t want to part with it. Who doesn’t want a little triple-moisure blend of shea butter, coconut oil and vitamin e in their lives which is also hypoallergenic, paraben free, phthalate free and truly, truly, truly non-greasy.

The collection I received was all made in the USA and included a stretch mark cream, whipped belly butter (which might just be my favorite), renewing body oil and a yet to be tried soothing breast balm, but this isn’t my first rodeo, and I know I’ll be needing it, and it’s already tucked in my hospital go bag. I am happy to know that it’s 100% natural, fragrance free (even thought I do love that white citrus shea) and lanolin free making it safe to use before and after nursing.
