It's that time of the year again. School's out, and the kids have plenty of time (and energy) on their hands. But this summer you'll be able to keep them entertained while staying on budget. I've got some great frugal family theme park vacation ideas to help you out.
No matter where you're going, the important thing is planning ahead. There are several things you can do to save without sacrificing on the fun:
Pack Food - refreshments in the park are expensive, so bring food, beverages & snacks!
Look for Nearby Restaurants - if you don't want to lug around the food, research nearby restaurants for deals like "Kids Eat Free"
Call the Amusement Park - do this a month (or more if possible) ahead to find deals available not listed on the website, like group discounts.
Park Outside the Grounds - avoid paying for pricey parking…& a little walk never hurt!
Don't Buy Souvenirs Immediately - wait until the end of the day to see if you feel the same & choose something that can't be easily found elsewhere.
