Erin’s Holiday Wish List Meme
Oh, how I’ve loved reading all of the Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme entries! You can read them by following the links at the bottom of this post...you know, that giveaway post that outlines the many gifts that GameStop has shared with us? Talk about making your season BRIGHT.
Now it’s my turn to share my Wish List Meme! (Oh, of course I can’t win! But I can’t resist sharing my answers anyway.)
What is your holiday wish for your family?
That we manage to juggle all of our holiday commitments with a joyous and somewhat rested spirit. I’m still tired from Holiday Season 2009.
What is your Christmas morning tradition?
My husband’s family has breakfast together...all 9 dozen of us. But not just any breakfast...Nana’s Norweigan Pancakes. I remember the first Christmas morning I spent with this crowd when I was dating my husband. One bite of these pancakes and it became my mission to get in solid with this family.
Most of us are sporting pj’s (okay, sometimes I’m the only one) and bedhead (ditto) and it is blast.
If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
I would like Santa to send me back to the Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astoria for a day of pampering. I want to feel luxurious and relaxed from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. DO YOU HEAR ME, SANTA?
How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
Recommended for You
I’m a big sucker for holiday lights. I don’t even need a formal display. Just a cup of Peppermint Hot Cocoa or a Peppermint Shake (holy smokes, get one from Baskin Robbins...you’ll swoon, they are that good), a warm car and aimless driving around town makes me such a happy person. I guess the peppermint goodies aren't free, but it's worth the pocket change.
What games did you play with your family growing up?
I had an original 8-bit Nintendo. My Dad and I had big Tetris battles. He was a big believer in racking up points, I went for line totals.
What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
Spending Christmas Eve with my family means a lot to me. I don’t think I could ring in Christmas Eve without my folks. We’re big on great food and drink and having a really good time together.
My in-laws gave their boys a new Disney ornament every year. We’ve kept up this tradition at our house. My daughter just picked out her Toy Story ornament set for 2010.
Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?
No, way. I don’t do Christmas away from home. I once spent Christmas in Arizona and could just not wrap my brain around it.
Check out and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year?
I would love a Nintendo Red Wii, a Wii Fit Plus Balance Board and the Dance Dance Revolution Bundle. I’ve heard that a pitcher of margaritas plus Dance Dance Revolution makes for one heck of an entertaining Girl’s Night gathering.
Even though I can’t win, YOU CAN! Go check out Mama’s Holiday Wish List and get the skinny on how to win a huge prize package from GameStop.
