Just in time for back-to-school shopping (and who says new fall clothes are just for kids?) a new Anthropologie store just opened up in downtown Walnut Creek. Or, if you’re not that into their clothing (?!) then enjoy wandering through the magical displays of their home décor and imagine that you’re shopping at a Parisian flea market. Who can say no to a dessert plate with a praying mantis on it? And if all those clothes and housewares aren’t enough to make you spend the entire bank account, Anthropologie also has a great selection of gift-y items as well, including fun books like Gretchen Rubin’s Happier at Home, which is a nifty little book of ‘do’s and don’ts’ for a happier existence in one’s domicile (maybe, get rid of the kids for a couple hours?) The Anthro version even contains some bonus material.
For future note, it’s also the perfect place to pass a couple hours on a rainy day—just keep an eye on any little hands you bring with you.
