What was your big dream?
My big dream was to record an album of my original songs.
How did you accomplish it?
I first bought some home recording equipment and started to do it myself with sheets tacked to the wall ( I thought that would help get better sound quality) . When I realized that I could not market it at the professional level I was looking to go with it, I decided to start my own record label, take out a business credit card line and went to a local studio and after self producing, working a lot of late night hours (after the kids went to bed), finally came out with my album, “Caravan,” that I am proud of and from that experience I founded the company, “Rockin’ Moms devoted to paying tribute to the works of mothers.
Where did you find inspiration to get started?
I really found that after my son was born and I was approaching 30, I really didn’t want to wait any longer and I found new confidence and inspiration from my children to just go for it.
What motivated you to keep going?
I kept learning so much as I worked on each album and wanted it to become better and better. I love hearing a song that I wrote come together with a full accompaniment, hearing the tracks back is such a fulfilling experience that is almost indescribable.
What's your next Big Dream?
I would like to be discovered by a producer who would work with me on my next album and help promote it and tour around the world spreading joy to others through the music, perhaps with other Rockin’ Moms on the touring bill.
