Each person we meet,
Each encounter we share,
Each moment created
Impacts us...

Each emotion embraced,
Each thought put in place,
Each moment created
Impacts us...

We may try to hold on tight to one memory,
Push another one as far down and away as possible,
But there is no escape.
Each moment created
Impacts us...

We may look fondly on one, share it over and over again,
Or never speak a word.
But that moment created
impacts us...

We can live a life of hiding the pain, the worry, the doubts and the fears,
And only share the perfect package of happiness and pearly white smiles,
But those memories we hide are still there, not lost and still a part of our soul.
Each moment created
Impacts us...

But if we wrap our arms around each moment created,
Envelop it all with acceptance and love,
Then we will be filled.
Then our joy can shine through some pain.
Our smiles can replace the tears
And our hearts can be still rather than filled with dread.
Each moment created
Impacts us.
