I’m not sure who came up with it, but after years of watering down regular soap in the foaming hand soap bottles I became a pro. It saves money because you have to buy tons less soap since it is already foamed up for you it is less wasteful than regular hand soap.
Regular Hand Soap Refill
Using an empty foaming hand soap dispenser, fill it with regular hand soap up to about 1/2 an inch to 3/4 of an inch high on the bottle.
Fill the rest of the foaming soap bottle with water. Put the lid on and shake the bottle a couple of times.
Test the foamy-ness of your foaming hand soap. It may need more soap or more water. If it comes out goopy, like snot, it needs more water. If it comes out watery it needs more soap. (Duh, I know!) Just remember that less can be more when it comes to soap, the perfect consistency is a thick foam.
This is a really simple recipe for a foaming hand soap mixture, but it can save a lot of hand soap, especially if you use it all the time. I know it may not be much money at a time, but there are plenty of other things I would like to spend that little bit of my money on. Have fun keeping clean!
