I love peas. Here are two pea recipes from The Best Recipe that are both delicious, but pair with different types of dishes. It all depends on what the rest of your meal is and how you'd like to offset the flavors.

Peas with Hazelnut Butter and Sage

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp. chopped hazelnuts

2 Tbsp. unsalted butter

1 recipe Blanched Sugar Snap Peas or Snow Peas

2 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves

salt and pepper

1. Toast nuts in small skillet over medium heat, turning nuts while cooking, 3-4 minutes. Set aside.

2. Heat butter in medium pan over medium heat until its color resembles brown sugar and smells nutty, about 5 minutes. Do not burn. Add peas, sage, and nuts. Toss to combine and continue cooking until heated through, about 1 minute. Salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Peas with Lemon, Garlic, and Basil

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

zest of 1 lemon, minced + 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 medium garlic clove, minced

1 recipe Blanched Sugar Snap Peas or Snow Peas

8 fresh basil leaves, chopped
