Are there days you’re craving for the coldest, tallest and tastiest margarita and then a kiddo kicking in your tummy reminds you that ain’t gonna happen? Take it from this momma of two with June and August birthdays, I know I have thought it once (or two times!)

Relax! There’s still some options to get the taste of that quintessential Tex-Mex Classic without the alcohol with a recipe I covet from a book I found when I was pregnant with my first kiddo. “Margarita Mama: Mocktails for Moms-to-Be” by Alyssa Gesenoff is how I made it through my first pregnancy and have shared with tons of moms since then – especially for showers and playdates!

This special mix of a lot of things you might already have on hand can quench that craving for margaritas – especially in the middle of those 100 degree temps we have her in Texas!

Are you planning a party menu? If you’re Whole30-ing, pregnant, or breastfeeding, you’re most likely not planning to partake in adult beverages.

One Hungry Mama

One Hungry Mama is a family friendly food blog that is filled to its bloggy gills with recipes, advice and information. I love that Stacie’s recipes and adaptations include recommended ages and in some cases, tips for how to make a recipe suitable for the developing digestive systems of babies. But make no mistake, this is a blog for all ages. One Hungry Mama had me at “Chocolate Chip Buttercream” and “Slow Cooker Apple Butter”. Yum!
