How to Make Homemade Bagels

This post should be titled "How to Make Homemade Bagels and Entertain Your Two Year Old"...

Although the weather in California has been downright spring-like, it's still winter and her interest in her Christmas presents is starting to wane. As she loves to help me do EVERYTHING, and I do mean EVERYTHING, one of her favorite things to help me do is cook.

She can operate that Kitchen Aid mixer like a pro, and she might be able to make chocolate chip cookies from memory. Time to mix it up and try something new. Hence my idea to make bagels. I realize this is very random.

Let me tell you that once I read the bagel recipe, I tried to talk her back into cookies. But I had already mentioned bagels, and she wasn't about to be persuaded into something else. Did you know that you have to boil bagel dough before you cook it?

I'm glad she held her bagel ground, because they are AMAZING! Click here to read more about bagel making magic and break out of your baking comfort zone.
