Snickerdoodle Chocolate Chip Rice Krispie Treats
We're celebrating the new Peanuts Movie with a special batch of our favorite classic treat, "Snoopy's" Snickerdoodle Chocolate Chip Rice Krispie Treats!
I'm not suggesting that you sneak food into a movie theater, I'm just saying that these Snickerdoodle Chocolate Chip Rice Krispie Treats are a quick and easy treat to bring to your Halloween shindig, classroom party, or pot luck...added bonus? If you pick up a few of your key ingredients at your neighborhood Albertsons or Safeway, you could score a limited edition reusable Peanuts movie trick-or-treat bag.
You could even win a trip to Snoopy's house in California! Details here, including a list of products you can purchase to get that free reusable bag!
Now...WHO'S READY FOR A TREAT?
Yeah. Those babies are good. Just the right amount of chocolately goodness to satisfy that particular craving, and just the right amount of cinnamon to make them taste spicy and warm. I recommend a big glass of ice-cold milk to accompany these.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 Tablespoons Butter (I like salted.)
- 5 1/2 Cups Mini Marshmallows
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 6 Cups Kellog's Rice Krispies
- 1 Cup Nestle Toll House Mini Chocolate Chips
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl for 45 seconds.
Add marshmallows, stir, and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Add cinnamon and stir until well mixed.
(Resist the urge to eat spoonfuls of buttery cinnamon marshmallow right from the bowl.)
Pour marshmallow mix over Rice Krispies and mix.
Add mini chocolate chips.
Press into a 9x13 inch pan.
Wait for the mixture to cool. Or don't. You do you.
Cut into squares.
Share with your family and friends! (Because an entire pan of Snickerdoodle Chocolate Chip Rice Krispie Treats will make you sick if you don't share the love. ASK ME HOW I KNOW.)
