After spending nearly 20 years working as a copywriter in advertising, my first book, Confessions of a Slacker Mom, came out in spring of 2004 and made the San Francisco Chronicle’s best-seller list. My second book, Confessions of a Slacker Wife, was released in spring of 2005. My books and I have been featured in Time, Newsweek, USA Today, The New York Times, The London Times, and on The Today Show, Oprah, Fox News, Geraldo and dozens of other television and radio programs. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, with my husband Michael and kids Belle (7) and Joe (6), and I still work as a copywriter.

Dissatisfied with the limited information available to them, Rachael and Stephanie recognized a compelling need for an all-inclusive book focused specifically on their community and published the first Utah Mama’s Handbook in October 2004. Rachael has two children, Josh and Addie and Stephanie keeps busy with her sons, Logan and Lincoln.

Nico & Zoe is two experienced moms, with retail and internet experience, selling uncommon and artisan made high quality toys for the urban kid, age birth to six.
Our inspiration is our children. As parents, we are always on the lookout for quality, locally made, funky toys. And, we don’t want them to cost too much. Most European wood toys we find are just too expensive. Handmade toys are difficult to find, no one store specializes.

At Nico & Zoe, our aim is to select toys that are both uncommon and a good value. We also specifically support local, small businesses like us by finding toys that are designed, if not made, in the US. Our goal is simple: Offer high quality, small production, toys, all at one location.

After working in the industry for over 14 years, she began her own interactive design company, RM Design. In her spare time, Pam is designing, making, and selling toys!

Stacy (Mother of Nico) has an education and retail background. Stacy worked in the retail toy business for three years, as a teacher for seven years, and is now tutoring children and adults. In her spare time, she is buying, selling, and boxing up toys!

About a year ago, Pam had the idea to make soft dolls. Stacy wanted to do something new. Thus came the idea for Zoe Babies and Nico & Zoe. Now, we are working hard to bring the best toys to you!
