Welcome to Today’s Mama!

You are a fun, savvy mom who hasn’t lost her cool just because she started having kids…so are we!

You grew up with Atari and cell phones the size of handbags…so did we!
You can recite lines from Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, and pretty much any John Hughes movie ever made…so can we!
You’re looking for fun reads that remind you why you decided to reproduce in the first place and who you were before the offspring came along…so are we!

Today’s Mama is a group of creative moms who believe we aren’t just as cool as we were before babies, we’re better!

Our Motto: Changing diapers, minds and habits, sometimes all in one day.
We believe motherhood isn’t just a rite of passage, it’s a privilege laced with sticky fingerprints and more crumbling construction paper projects than you can shake a Wii controller at. We understand that motherhood rewards us with great power to shape tiny minds and hearts into decent, kind, spirited human beings, if only we could sleep for five more minutes.

What We (Love to) Do
Our vast network of mom bloggers in dozens of cities bring you ideas, experiences and solutions for making the wacky balance of work and family life easier, calmer, perhaps even better. We dish about the best places to go with kids, we offer advice on everything from potty training to fundraising, and whenever possible, we throw in fun stuff that’s just for moms, too. Why? Because we believe that every mom deserves the chance to host an HGTV-worthy dinner party (even if it’s just once a year).

“I feel like I have a huge advantage writing for Today’s Mama. The responsive, helpful team has helped me to get my work out to a huge audience, and the reputation that Today’s Mama has built earns me recognition and respect.” –Anna P. Shirley, Indy Mama

We’re also super tech-savvy moms (if we do say so ourselves) known to host some of the best blogger conferences around

Founder’s Message
We started Today’s Mama when my babies were babies. My son and daughter were both still in diapers. Snap! I was a baby. Here we are almost 10 years later, with one more baby girl in our family, a whole lot of life, and 10,000+ posts later, still doing what we love. My children have grown up with Today’s Mama—and so have I. We’ve produced books, magazines, websites, events, and friendships that will last a long time. And we look forward to doing more of it—with you! Thanks for stopping by!

Rachael Herrscher
Rachael is the founder and CEO of www.TodaysMama.com, and a bonafide tech geek. She is known to sleep surrounded by her many gadgets, which can get in the way of cuddles with her three kiddos. She was named one of the Top 5 CEOS to Watch on Twitter by Business Week magazine, a finalist for the 2007 Stevie Awards’ Best Young Entrepreneur award, was named one of Utah Business magazine’s 30 Women to Watch in 2009. She was also featured in the book Upstarts: How Gen Y Entrepreneurs are Rocking the World of Business. When she’s not hiking the gorgeous Utah mountains near her home in Salt Lake City with her family, she’s running daily operations and planning the next Click Retreat.

MEET THE TEAM
Amy Allen Johnson
Amy's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Amy is the COO of www.TodaysMama.com, which makes her responsible for everyone’s paychecks. She’s like the rubber cement that keeps everyone and everything at Todays’s Mama together, overseeing operations as well as finding time to write about her passions: food and finances. As a kid she carried a Strawberry Shortcake lunch box with great pride and admits her first big crush was Ricky Shroeder from Silver Spoons. She lives in Salt Lake City with her hubby and three kids who love scaring her with rubber snakes.

Ana Connery
AnaConnery

Ana is the Vice President of Content for www.TodaysMama.com, where she oversees content strategy and creates brand-building partnerships. She loves the charm of old houses and lives in one built in 1940 with doorknobs that keep falling off. She remembers when Sarah Jessica Parker was just a square peg, and has never missed an episode of just about anything on Bravo. She is a single mom to an 8-year-old son who proudly wears costumes 365 days per year.

Erica Fehrman
As the Local Perspectives Editor for www.TodaysMama.com, Erica Fehrman oversees our vast network of mom bloggers around the country. She loves old barns and thunderstorms, and hates bands that synchronize dance moves in lieu of playing instruments. Erica has been known to take calls while changing a diaper, nursing, and doing dishes (though not necessarily all at the same time). She pines for the Gilmore Girls to reunite and first crushed on Johnny Depp (from his 21 Jump Street days). A previous gig designing PEZ dispensers prepped her for the many crafts and art projects that accompany motherhood. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, two boys and a punk dog.

Carina Wytiaz
Carina is the National Editor for www.TodaysMama.com. She considers sleep a complete waste of time, she loves to entertain, and she can pretty much make a mean everything. Oh, and she’s into picture shows. She lives in a messy house in the mountain West with her husband and three children.

Erin Oltmanns
Erin is the Senior Editor of www.TodaysMama.com. She writes about photography, food, crafts, and the juggle of working motherhood from her home in Utah. She has a penchant for glitter, anything Star Trek and loves superhero movies. Her go-to phrase is “son of a gun” because she learned the hard way that kids never forget a thing. She once wrangled 99 pregnant women for a bikini contest while working for a rock radio station, so she can pretty much handle anything (thankfully, no one went into labor while strutting their stuff).
