Make Your Holiday Easy with Square Cash

I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I say that chasing people down for the money they owe you is a drag. Here’s a tool that makes it SO EASY.

The holiday season is a flurry of exchange.

That’s right. Money.

There is always a check to split, a gift to go halfsies on, their share of the grocery bill for that shindig you’re hosting at your house with the promise from friends and family that they’ll help cover expenses.

I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I say that chasing people down for the money they owe you is a drag. And since we’ve all stopped carrying checkbooks (I use mine once a year for school pictures. You too?!) the odds of getting your money in a timely manner are pretty low.

But some of the other money exchange apps that I’ve used are a drag too. Complicated set up, high fees to get your money into your bank account, oh and anyone you’re paying has to be a user of that same app. That last one is the biggest hassle of all.

But not with Square Cash. (For reals.)

I tried out Square Cash (after having used two other apps/websites very recently) and here is what I loved about this new app:

The set up was super quick, yet very secure, via authorization codes to both my mobile device and email.

I can send money to ANYONE. They don’t need a Square Cash account! That’s HUGE.

Clear and easy management of app passcodes and privacy settings. I loved that the default settings were already private.

It’s incredibly easy to use. Just type in an amount, hit “PAY” or “REQUEST” and then send it to a friend via Name (from your contacts), SMS, email, or $Cashtag. You can also enable nearby so you can easily connect with the co-workers that owe you for that baby shower gift you picked up.

I was able to reimburse Rachael for our “meeting” expenses.

I got an email alert once she accepted my payment.

The best part is that Square Cash is from the folks that brought you Square—that handy mobile payment option that you’ve probably been using for years at many of the small businesses you frequent.

Still think you don’t need a cash app?

Here are just a few of the ways to use Square Cash

When you pick up something at during your Costco run for a neighbor.
When you see that killer sale on kid’s clothes and you grab a few items for your friend.
When you find that MUST HAVE toy and there are only two left on the shelf and you grab the extra because you just know that someone in your circle of parent friends is gonna want it.
When you see that concert tickets are on sale and you get the “heck yes, let’s go!” from your friends and you snatch up three tickets asap.
When you forget your wallet at basketball and it’s picture day and another mom spots you the $14 for the team photo. (Because you have to pay by check. ARGH.)
When your brother-in-law fixes your car and you owe him for parts.
When you want to pay your neighbor’s teenager for doing your yard work.
To pay back you fellow PTA soldier for your portion of the Teacher Appreciation cookies.

See what I mean?

You didn’t realize how often you need to pay back or get reimbursed, did you!?

Download the Square Cash app from the Apple Store or Google Play Market and give it a try.
