The Baby Monitor That Made Nap Time Magical for My 3rd Baby— and We’re Giving One Away

This is Brooks.

And he is one happy guy. Which is amazing because he doesn’t get a lot of zzzz’s in his life. He’s a third baby, and he’s on the go. He hangs out at swim meets and soccer practices and soccer games and never wants to miss a preschool or elementary school pick-up or drop-off. Let’s just say, he gets around.

But in all of the fullness that he experiences daily, every once in awhile, the magical third baby stars align and he gets to be home, in his bed, at nap time. And while he usually looks confused by this, I think it’s a little bit magical for him. But you know what’s not magical when you get to sleep in your very own baby bed for more than ten minutes is when you hear your brother or sister yelling, “MOM” about ten million times, or the dog barking, or the doorbell ringing. You get the idea.

Brooks was sleeping with his nursery room door open. And the reason for this is that even though he’s my third baby, I would be in and out and checking on him and the temperature about a million times. Has he rolled over? Is it hot in here? Is he breathing? Let me just poke him, and make sure he’s breathing. Seriously. And he’s my third. You can imagine what a nap was like for my first baby!

Enter the Levana baby monitor. Do you know what Levana means? It’s the name of the Roman goddess who protects newborn infants, aka a mother’s dream come true.

With a commitment to baby safety, Levana has created digital and wireless monitors, eliminating the terrifying risk of cord strangulation. And guess what? Levana only makes baby monitors. That’s their only focus. Which is amazing, because when it comes to safety for my baby, I want a company that focuses exclusively on that, not on their separate toaster line.

Since they only focus on monitors, they are pioneers. Where did the first-ever wireless handheld baby video monitor come from? Levana. And they know what moms want. All video and audio data are transmitted on small, private and local networks to ensure the highest level of security with their ClearVu wireless technology. No one wants their baby monitor hacked. The battery life lasts for days and days, which is amazing for moms who can’t remember to charge things (me), and it even offers a temperature sensor screen with customizable alerts. Poor Brooks has been known to wake up like a little popsicle, so this is a feature that I particularly appreciate.

This monitor gave me a ticket to mom freedom. Instead of leaving his door open and frantically checking his breath count every five minutes which I would alternate between telling my other kiddos to zip it, I closed his nursery door, closed the hall door and did other things. Imagine it. I emptied the dishwasher. I helped with summer craft projects. I went outside and sat on the patio and chatted with a girlfriend.

Naptime at home is almost as magical for me as it is for Brooks.

You can see learn more about Levana and the Mylo video monitor and find out how you can expand your view of your baby and household with additional cameras.

We’re also giving YOU a chance to enjoy the same magical naptime that Brooks and I have been enjoying—because we’re giving you a chance to win a Mylo™ 5” Touchscreen High Resolution PTZ Video Baby Monitor, just like the one we’ve been using! Just enter the giveaway below. Good luck and nap on!

I’d love a way to keep an eye on our fifth baby so that I can make sure his crib stays a “safe zone” and all his brothers aren’t stacking Cheerios on his head, dressing him up like a pirate, or strapping him into a baby zipline from the top of the stairs.

I’m a grandmother of two year old twins. My son & daughter-in-law are so busy with the girls and their full time jobs. So I would offer to babysit to give them a break for a date night.
Since the girls are now in separate rooms this monitor would be great to be able to keep an eye on the one without the camera monitor. Thank you for the opportunity!

I have a third. She doesn’t nap tons, but I would love to be confident when she is in her crib. We just moved her from our room to hers and I am a nervous wreck… Shouldn’t that get better by the third?!?
