This is my go-to easy meal for quick dish any kid will eat! I always make 2, one to eat and one to freeze. It’s the perfect meal to take to friends after they’ve had a baby or need a meal. It’s like the tator-tot version of shepherd’s pie. I don’t know who get’s more excited about it, my husband or my kids!
1 lb raw hamburger
1 medium onion, diced (or equivalent dried onion)
1 can cream o’ mushroom soup
2 cups cheese
1-2 lbs tator tots (can be substituted with hashbrowns)
Layer hamburger, then onions, then soup, then cheese and top with tator-tots! Bake for 45 minutes at 375° F.
