Summer Reading Bucket List

Do you have a summer reading bucket list?  We decided to try to read every book on the Caldecott Medal book list. I started out thinking we’d try tackling the Newbury list, but those are all much longer than I remembered for my little people to tackle in a summer.

The Randolph Caldecott Medal annually recognizes the preceding year’s “most distinguished American picture book for children”, beginning with 1937 publications. You can find a complete list here.

Each night before bed, we curl up and tackle 1 or 2 or these beautiful books.
