It’s official! The list of top baby names of 2013 is out, thanks to Sophia held down the  the top spot for girls for the fourth year in a row, but Aiden finally was bumped to number two after a whopping eight years to make room for…wait for it…Jackson!

Top Baby Names of 2013

I predict that in 2014, North will surge in popularity, and I wouldn’t be shocked if Mr. Controversial, Kanye West, or even Kimye continue to pop up, too. (I find this shocking, but the name Kanye actually increased in popularity by about 38 percent this year.)

On the totally opposite side of the spectrum is the gender-neutral Francis with an “i”, the name of the new pope, whom just about everybody on planet Earth seems crazy about, regardless of religion. I like it, and everybody likes him, so expect that to shoot up in popularity next year. Thanks to the royals, George continues to make a major comeback. It enjoyed a nice surge in popularity this year, even for girls. And while I might cringe if I meet a Miley, that’s definitely not out of the question either.  Below is the top 10 list for boys and girls.
