Really Justin Bieber?

There are a lot of Beliebers out there. I’ve never been one of them. Not even with Never Say Never. He is obviously talented, but I have a hard time getting over the fact that he looks like he’s fourteen. Which is probably why this image actually makes me feel a little squeamish.

Not as squeamish as this one…

A few weeks ago a series of photos of Justin smoking a joint was released causing him to state on Twitter that he’s “trying to be better.”

This week, Justin turned up in another photo at a fan meet and greet in Miami.  I wouldn’t be THAT excited if this was my seventeen year old daughter.

His rep says that it isn’t what it looks like and he was simply pulling away from her. Call me crazy, but I don’t see that in this picture. And perhaps he doesn’t know that it’s flu season. If that’s how he greets all of his fans, he’s kissing a lot of cheeks. I haven’t heard of lip sanitizer.

Justin, meet your fans…

I know he’s eighteen and wants to change up his audience a little by heading into rap and more adult lyrics. But at the end of the day, I’m in my thirties and he holds no appeal to me. Not even if he’s rapping. He has a huge tween following, and as these girls are tweeting and on Facebook, they’re seeing pictures of him that I’m not really sure I would want my daughter to see of her favorite celebrity.

They’re watching you Justin. Know your audience and keep it classy. Even if you’re working on finding a new one.

My daughter was a fan all of one month and I’m glad. Greet and meet my baby like that and he will be hitting those girly high notes again. Snuff said.

It’s because he’s cute to them, and because of the cutsie songs he first put out that they fell in love with him. That picture of JB groping the girl…Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and believe the publicist..If that is the case and he was pulling away….Does that mean as he was pulling away he copped a feel? Kind of looks that way..

I have never understood the appeal of JB. While he needs to curb his…enthusiasm for female fans, I can’t imagine being a boy that age, being handed the keys to the kingdom, and keeping my head on straight in the process. Where are his parents and positive role models in it all?

Love it Shannon! You are so right. My kids sing his sings but I certainly don’t let them watch his music videos, and now backstage passes are a definite no!

But here’s what killed me the other day! My daughter wanted to download Beauty and the Beat — so we did — and the lyrics?

      Uh, Uh
In time, ink lines, b-bitches couldn’t get on my incline
World tour, it’s mine, ten little letters, on a big sign
Justin.. Bieber, you know Imma hit ’em with the ether
Buns out, weiner, but I gotta keep an eye out for Selenar
      Beauty, Beauty and the Beast
Beauty from the east, beautiful confessions of the priest
Beast, beauty from the streets, we don’t get deceased
Every time a beauty on the beats
(Body rock, girl, I wanna feel your body rock)
(Yeah, Yeah, yeah, Let’s go, Let’s go!)

I wasn’t a Bieber fan to begin with. I’m a mean mom and I refuse to let my kids listen to him. (My oldest is 6.) He’s a bad example and he doesn’t even care. His reps can say all they want about him trying to change and be better, but they can only do so much damage control. I’m not sure what is so appealing about him. Maybe it’s because the younger girls can relate to how he sounds…
