Favorite Benjamin Moore Paint Colors

My husband and I are trying to paint a wall.  Emphasis on the word trying.

I’m looking for sort of a silver sage.  I think he heard the word sage and has a vision that looks more like grass.

We both cruised around on the internet for a solid ten minutes each and selected a few colors that we thought were possibilities.  I probably found around six, he wasn’t feeling five, he found four, I wasn’t feeling three.  So off I went to Home Depot to pick up our two samples.  And guess what?  Meh.  A one inch square on the internet is very different from the color in real life.

Let’s face it, picking paint is daunting.  You might want to paint your wall yellow, but it’s hard to find the RIGHT yellow out of the 768,987,342 possibilities out there.

Check out this list of 101 Favorite Benjamin Moore Paint Colors from South Shore Decorating Blog.  You’ll find the name of the paint as well as what the paint actually looks like in a room.  Which is shockingly more helpful than that one inch square we were looking at.

If you have a favorite silver sage you love, let me know the name!

We can see the interaction between the color of the walls with the color of the floor, sills and lighting while testing the paint,” he told recently.

We painted our front room Fenland 8174M. I wanted a bright apple green, but it wouldn’t have fit with the rest of the house. This reads as “green-grey-silver”. Looking online, it looks completely grey, but we have reddish furniture in the room, which brings out the green tones. Good luck!
