Buddhist Quote Printable

I like to think of myself as a Mormon Buddhist. I’m not sure if I’d be up for the task of being a nun, but I certainly could be down with hanging out with some Buddhist nuns for a couple of weeks to get all zen inside.

There was a 2 year period of my life where it seemed like everything had hit the fan. My younger sister passed away from cancer, I was pregnant and we thought our baby had some serious genetic issues (that ended up working out to be just fine), the economy crashed, and then my husband got in a really big car crash.  It seemed like things wouldn’t let up. One thing right after another. I tried to dig in and get all zen with the chaos. Someone passed along a copy of the book “When Things Fall Apart” by Buddhist Nun, Pema Chodron. In my case, the book could have been more aptly named “When Things Just Plain Suck”.

I devoured the book. I love the way she writes and I love the perspective that she brings. There’s a lot we can just let go of, and she sums that up in ways that might actually help you do it.  I ran across this quote the other day and was reminded of how much I dug it so I wanted to share!

Go ahead – print off our little Buddhist quote printable, pin it up, save it to your desktop. Enjoy! And be zen! 😀

Oh, I love this quote! It is so, so true. Boy, the Universe certainly tried to get your attention over something, didn’t it? (I speak as one who has had serial rear end vehicular accidents…). I love the idea of LDS Buddhism. The shaved head orange robe thing is a bit off putting, re the nun thing, though!
