Mocktail Drinks for Summer Entertaining and a Giveaway!
What a scorcher this week has been! In the weather forecast the whole U.S. is covered in a blanket of sizzling red and orange!
I didn’t know when we decided to post our favorite family-friendly drinks this week we’d be in a hazy heatwave, but these drinks couldn’t have come at a better time.
We throw a lot of mocktail parties for baby showers and all-ages entertaining, so I’m a big fan of quality juices because it makes a huge difference in the way your drinks will taste. I like to gather a bunch of juices, club soda, tonic water, grenadine, fresh herbs, and citrus garnishes to make mocktail drinks for summer entertaining. Your guests can mix their own mocktails, or ask them to come with their own idea for a drink that all ages can enjoy! I thought I’d share two recipes that I absolutely love:
Sunset on the Beach
Super easy: Mix half Simply Cranberry Cocktail with half Simply Orange Juice on the rocks. You can add a splash of club soda, if you’d like.
Cranberry Mint Soda
Smash two fresh mint leaves and 1 teaspoon of turbinado sugar together in a shaker (or pitcher.) Add a scoop of ice and about 1/2 cup Simply Cranberry Cocktail. Fill a glass with ice, add glug of club soda, and then pour the cranberry juice through the strainer into the glass. Completely refreshing. You can make a huge pitcher of this by smashing a cup of loosely packed mint leaves, 1/2 cup of turbinado sugar, then adding cranberry cocktail and club soda. Grown-ups, a little vodka turns this into a great back porch relaxer.
And great news! Simply Orange is giving away an awesome prize pack for you to try Simply Cranberry Cocktail for your own summer entertaining! You can check Simply Orange out on Facebook, too.
