Beauty: Yes to Carrots

I know that we’re all supposed to be positive about our appearance.  I’m to enjoy the straightness of my hair instead of pining away for curly. To be happy with the color of my eyes instead of dwelling on the size of my nose. To be delighted with my olive skin-tone instead of completely obsessed with how oily it is.

I’ve made peace with my big nose. Learned to keep my straight hair short and easy to manage. But my skin is still a sensitive subject.

Literally.

I spent years forking out some serious cash on skin care products. It has only been in the last few years that I finally settled on a steady regimen of Cetaphil, Oil of Olay, and St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

I know, those are all drugstore beauty products. Heck, I buy my Cetaphil at Costco!

But I’m getting old enough to realize that I should be using a heavier lotion at night and giving my skin a little more TLC. But I don’t want to spend a lot of money. I’ve gone down that road and all I got for my trouble was the skin of a hormonal teenager and an impressive stockpile of barely used jars of goo.

But after seeing article after article about the Yes to Carrots skin care line, I thought it might be a safe bet.

I picked up the Yes to Cucumbers Calming Night Cream and the Yes to Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask.  Both have been delightful. Both smell delicious. Both feel luxurious. Neither has made my skin mutiny.

WIN!
