Style: Three Summer Skirts

Skirts are my absolute go-to: so easy to throw on and look pulled together; I live in skirts and dresses in the summer. But how do  you wear them? Easy. We all have plain t-shirts. Sure, you can wear a tee with jeans, but if you have a plain white tee, why not choose a patterned skirt? A skirt with sandals runs from the grocery store to the park in a flash. Hair in a ponytail, hoops in your ears, sunnies on your face, and you’re a vision.

(Trust me.)

Here are three inexpensive summer skirts that you could totally pull off:

A darling red and white number from Pair with a navy tee for a cute spin on Fourth of July, or a light blue for a fresh look. Only 49.95

Love this lightweight denim pencil skirt, so cute with a striped top. $46 from ModBe.

As for this little lemon yellow polka dot number? Delicious. You could try to match the watermelon color of the dots, or go with a seafoam green, plain white, or even push the envelope with an orange top. Just $54.99

Which one would you want to wear this summer?

I want the pencil skirt. Could I pull it off? Since I’ve only worn knits for the last 12 months? I might get claustrophobia but it’s cute enough I’d be willing to try.

amen on the nude bra! I normally live in skirts in the summertime but I just moved to a place where it’s always breezy and I feel like I’m constantly putting my hands on my skirt to keep it from flying up. Suggestions? Also, I’m really short so mid calf skirts are a no go

You absolutely can wear nothing but skirts and dresses in NYC in the summer–so perspy! I love all three, but especially polka dots… Any recommendations for a great, non-see-through white tee?

I know it’s not the sexiest lingerie piece, but a nude-colored bra is a must for white tees and even lightweight cotton or linen shirts.
