Style: Summer Ballet Flats

I love a pair of ballet flats for running around all day long, especially in the spring and fall when you don’t necessarily want an open-toed sandal. My biggest issue with ballet flats is that they can be kind of…boring. I like to have fun with my shoes, and a ho-hum flat is not in my go-to wardrobe. A couple months ago I invested in two pairs of summer ballet flats from Lands End, one pair in lemon yellow and the other in silver. I love them. I wear my yellow with dark jeans and leggings. The silver is for skirts and lighter leggings.

Always ask: what will I be wearing with these shoes? If your answer is “jeans,” do yourself a favor and pick a contrasting color to make your outfit pop. Like this little orange number with pink piping. Perfect.

Now you can look stylish hauling that huge box from your Costco cart to your car trunk (it’s like your childhood dreams coming true.)

You know that thing, of, like, when you wear flats but you’re not used to them and they cut into one or more parts of your ankles? I will pay many dollars if any particular brand can guarantee against that thing. Know of any?
