Your Pick for Best Picture?

Have you seen any of the movies that are nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year?

My favorites are The Artist, The Descendents, and Midnight in Paris. I can’t remember a year where so many of the nominees were delightful.  I haven’t seen War Horse, Extremely Loud, The Help, or The Tree of Life. Which one would you choose?

(But seriously, The Artist is wonderful, one of those movies that you walk out of the theater feeling like you’re on a cloud.)

The Descendents

The Artist

War Horse

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

The Help

Hugo

Midnight in Paris

Moneyball

The Tree of Life

I’ve seen War Horse, Moneyball, Extremely Loud, and The Help. I thought Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was an amazing film. I guess I would choose that one based on the great performances but I also loved War Horse. It illustrated the fact that there can be good people on both sides in a war. (And I’m a sucker for animal stories!)

We really loved We Bought a Zoo, saw it as a family. I know it isn’t a top pick of the year but our family really related to it. I need to get to work on watching quite a few of these. I am behind on movies!
