Valentine for Kids: Crayon Hearts

My kids are in preschool, and I’m always on the lookout for take-home treats that don’t involve a big mess or too much sugar.  No one needs their three-year-old to receive a dozen treat bags full of chocolate.

What to do as a Valentine for kids: Crayon Hearts from Chef Messy.

Step One: Chop crayons into bits and mix colors together in a bowl.

Step Two: Place some crayon bits into each of the heart molds in a silicon baking tray.

Step Three: Bake at 250 degrees for about 15 minutes.

Step Four: Place on decorated paper tags with a glue dot.  Chef Messy used the cute phrase, “Happy Valentine’s Day, for ‘crayon’ out loud!”

If your kid can write his or her own name, sign the backs.

CUTE and EASY. Be still my heart.

Thanks, Chef Messy!
