You probably clicked on this post because you know me. I’m guessing everyone else flinched from terrible high school chemistry flashbacks and moved on to another post.
Our devilish[ly awesome] editor, Carina, told us to narrow down to one resolution, which at first sounded simple. Ah, but not so much.
My original resolution was Health. Then I friggin’ got the flu on December 30. Then I thought, ok, let’s just focus on Being Fun. Or say that I want to attend two concerts (just two, for the love!) Or I could be “Relationally Specific” this year! But that seemed like resolution mumbo-jumbo. Then one night while I was hacking up a lung instead of sleeping, my thoughts on all of this spun out of control.
Hence, Triatomic Hydrogen.
If you really want to know about this thing, Google it. My semi-plagiarized paraphrase:
It’s an unstable molecule made of three hydrogen atoms. It can only exist in an excited state, and if its energy dips too low, it breaks apart.
For me, the three important components (“hydrogens”, if you will) of 2012, are:
My notes to support this are as follows.
I’m pretty sure anyone with an iota of science background will inwardly die from this entire concept, or error thereof. If you studied English, it makes perfect sense.
