I had to do a double take. For a second I thought I was the one that wrote this and that kitchen counter was my own. I think our brains were once one. I don’t have the excuse of having a baby over the last year either. I need help.

The big problem with the days of the week organizer is actually having clean clothes to fill it with for a week…I fear only one day would be filled at a time! Or there would be a shirt and underwear. That’ll get you through the day.

I’m pretty much like you. I love organization, I like a neat home, but it’s never MY home that’s neat! I start one thing, get side tracked, and again, and again and not one thing is ever perfectly clean.

I had a clean kitchen counter for about 30 minutes on Saturday. It felt good, but took about 5 hours to do as I fall into that circular trap too
(toys off counter..
into kids room..
laundry from kids room..
into laundry room..
fold rest of 1/2-folded load..
trip on my holiday berry wreath on the floor..
go down to get floral wire..
start organizing office..
play a game of cray 8s)
5 hrs later the counter was clean

Day of the week clothes organizer! Brilliant!

My problem is that I’m always thinking that the next product, the next organizing system is really going to work for me this time. It works for a short time until I don’t keep it up any more. I can clear off my desk and hyper organize my craft space, but it will descend back into madness before I ever realize it.
