Side Dishes for Thanksgiving

The quintessential Thanksgiving image is always of a golden-skinned turkey, but let’s be honest, the Thanksgiving side dishes are really where all the action is.

Here are my favorite side dishes for Thanksgiving and I’ve even tossed in an appetizer that was too cute and delicious to pass up.

Think about it. Ask people what they’re looking forward to an it’s always their favorite Thanksgiving side dishes.  Okay, maybe folks get pumped for Thanksgiving dessert, but that’s Rachael’s area of expertise, not mine.

Happy Thanksgiving, Mamas!

Creamy Mashed Potatoes from The Pioneer Woman: This delicious dish can be made ahead.

Gruyere Chive Mini Popovers from Williams and Sonoma: Not a yeast-baking pro? Me either. These will have you looking like a Thanksgiving hero anyway.
