Creamy Mashed Potatoes

I think creamy mashed potatoes are as much a staple of Thanksgiving as the turkey. My control-freak desire to enjoy the best mashed potatoes every year, led to me standing over a hot, steamy stove every year and mashing like a madwoman and then hustling a too-hot pot over to the site our Thanksgiving feast. Usually by the time the turkey was carved, the potatoes were cold and dry.

A few years ago Ree, everyone’s favorite Pioneer Woman, shared this recipe for Creamy Mashed Potatoes that you can make ahead of time. My family looooves these and I make them whenever a gathering calls for delicious spuds.
