One favorite motherhood moment- I have two boys 19mths old and 6yr old. My 6yr old son told me that I was the best mommy in the world so he is going to buy me a Pink Mustang!

My favorite motherhood moment is at the beginning of my day. I hear little voices and giggles in the room across from mine and when I open their bedroom door I’m greeted with squeals and smiles and “hi’s”. I pick the babies up out of their cribs and they instantly reach for me and wrap their little arms around me and pat me on the back and give me kisses. I feel like the most important person on Earth and they make me feel very loved and special. They make up the sweetest parts of my life.

There are countless such moments. In fact, everyday, watching my kids grow and learn, is a joy and a unique experience in itself.

My favorite motherhood moments are when my baby reaches for me because she knows only mommy can make it better!

When my child looks up at me with their innocent eyes and a smile on their face when I feel overwhelmed and having a bad day. I love the little sparkle in their eyes!

My favorite motherhood moments are when my kiddos learn something new, I love seeing their expressions as they realize they are a little more independent.Or have mastered a new word. Motherhood is the most rewarding job!!

    I’m tired. She’s not.

I’m ready for her to go nighty nighty and close her eyes. Her eyes are wide awake and eagerly wanting to stare out the window to look at the moon.

I pretend I am sleeping and praying that she will fall asleep as I lie very still. She breaks the silence with, “Mom?” ”Mom!” “Virginia!!”

I answer in an exhausted voice, “Yes….” She chatters away….and then says, “Thank you Mom. I had a fun day today,” melting my heart.

I again lie very still. She flops back and forth flinging her leg on top of me, under my legs, under my butt, touches my face with her hands, bonks my head with her head, picks her nose and hands me the booger.”

I’m getting very tired and plead with her to go nighty night.

She turns, hugs, kisses me..then drifts off to sleep.

While motherhood is no easy task, it’s in these moments of sheer exhaustion that my daughter melts my heart and puts a smile back on my tired face. My daughter and son are the apple of my eye.

What are your favorite motherhood moments?
I have so many moments that it is hard to narrow them down to one. One thing that has always made me proud to be a mom is watching how well behaved my kids are around others because I remember how much I hated being around bad kids who misbehaved all the time. Another would be watching how overprotective my 4 year old is over my 2 year old. They both amaze me at how they have that overprotective nature towards all those they care about most. The one I love most though would be how helpful they are always wanting to help me clean (when they aren’t the cause of the mess). I am a very religious person as well and love how my oldest insists on saying his prayers before he can go to bed and his love for Jesus and scriptures too. It was so sweet last week when we went out to look at the sunset and he said, “Mommy the sky is so beautiful did Jesus make that for me?” I admit that it almost made me cry. There are so many moments in my life that have made me proud to be a mom. It’s also very entertaining when my boys fight over “my mommy” and when my oldest says “I love you mommy you’re my favorite”.

When my kids say “I love you, mommy” out of the blue!

My favorite mommy moments are many and vary from day to day. Today’s favorite is watching my baby in the final stages of her pregnancy and prepare to have her own baby.

There is a five year age difference between my two girls. Seeing her big sister hold her for the first time at the foot of my hospital bed right after she was born was one of the sweetest moments I have had as a mother. Since then, she says how much she “Loves this little angel”, “I can’t believe she is here.”. They both melt my heart on a daily basis.

When my daughter was born in February my son (2 years old) crawled over to her on the bed and kissed her head. It’s been love ever since then. He kisses her all the time, rubs her fuzzy head, and says “aww baby”!

My baby boy is 8 months my favorite moments are when he dives for his milk and starts breathing heavy when he gets ready to nurse, he gets so excited. The huge smiles on his face and sighs of relief he gives after he nurses are so hilarious! He loves his milk that boy! What a legend!

I love it when I try cooking something new for dinner and my 4 year-old nods her head and says, “Mmm. Mom, can I have more?” Healthy success!

My absolute favorite motherhood moment is when for no reason at all your child throws their arms around you and tells you that they love you. It just melts my heart and confirms why I am a mother

There are so many favorite motherhood moments, but I would have to say giving birth to each of my babies. Meeting them and getting to look into their beautiful faces for the first time is by far my most favorite.

  23. rani 06/28/2011 at 11:13 pm

It’s the simple quiet moments that I cherish the most…watching them sleep in my arms, rocking them gently and all in silence with just their soft steady breathing!

  24. Rachel Johnson 06/28/2011 at 10:26 pm

My favorite mommy moment is when all three of my kiddos, me, and my husband cuddle in bed first thing in the morning. We usually end up giggling until we fall out. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy the everyday treasures these beautiful spirits bring to me.

My favorite mommy moment is when my 5 month old daughter awakes from sleeping. she sees my face and she smiles with so much joy and excitement no matter what time it. Out of all the things I have done in life what I enjoy the most is being a mom 🙂

My 5th girl saw me fidgeting to get comfy as I’m due with #3 any day. Then, she asked, “Mom, do you like being a mammal?”

  27. Delaina Whimpey 06/28/2011 at 9:09 pm

I love finding a little one covered in flower, totally happy and unaware of any problem with their actions. When they make you smile at things that would otherwise make you cry.

  28. Jessica 06/28/2011 at 8:48 pm

My favorite moments are when my 4 year old son gives his soon to be born little brother love by kissing my tummy, singing to him, and whispering to him how much he loves him…He is going to be such a great big brother!

  29. Karen Klein 06/28/2011 at 8:15 pm

My son was born on May 18th. So my most favorite moment is when he frowns and then smiles. It’s amazing how quickly he go between feelings or gas ;o)
