The Yay Friday Round Up Returns

Happy Friday, folks! The last time I posted a round up was waaaay back in February. Can you believe it? I guess my maternity leave is officially over.

It’s been quite a week around here. We’ve seen the doctor no less than four times in 5 days and have heard the words, “colic”, “mastitis”, and “ear infection” tossed around. BUT, we’ve also been able to capture the babe’s smile in photos for the first time, so I’m going to file this week under, “WIN”.

Oh, look at those happy kids!

This is what “fleeing” looks like when you’re 2 months old.

While I wasn’t hallucinating from my fever/chills/fever cycle, I made darn good use of my phone’s web browser. Enjoy a few gems from around the web…

Have you jumped on the pinterest bandwagon? It’s basically inspiration board central. Check out this great “little one and preschool fun” pin board from Marta.

Nothing says, “Hello, Spring!” like peonies in paris.

I approach DIY projects like Kal, which is probably why I find this so entertaining.

I’m a sucker for a “favorites” list. This one led me to realize that it’s time for a grown-up purse. Which led me to my new favorite app—Zappos! I was able to browse and buy a bag while entering my 3rd hour of walking-around-the-house-with-a-screaming-baby. One-handed retail therapy? YES PLEASE.

I loved Whitney’s take on the housekeeper hullabaloo over at The Happiest Mom.

Erin eloquently shares her thoughts on family size. Namely, the size of her family.

Wise words on shucking the cool straightjacket on Ordinary Courage.

And, since I’m always on the lookout for a great granola recipe, here’s one to try.

FINALLY. Cake decorating that even I can pull off.

Love 30 Rock? Think that Tina Fey’s impression of Sarah Palin is the stuff of legend? Then RUN, do not walk, to, your local bookstore or wherever you go to download books on an e-reader and get a copy of Tina Fey’s Bossypants. You will not be sorry.
