May was a great month. I will be sad to see it go. Lots of wonderful time spent with family and the kind of friends that make you look around and ask yourself, “how in the heck did I get this lucky”.
Case in point – the EVO team visited the site of our upcoming conference, The Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah in early May and it was glorious.
We toured the accommodations.
We scoped out the perfect locations for workshops and I captured the essence of Rachael Herrscher. It was a big weekend.
Here are a few of the online goodies that caught my eye this month…
WISDOM FROM MOMS
This post on gardening made me cackle out loud.
The Seattle Mama Doc puts together a disaster kit and offers the kind of real advice that I was looking for.
Mom 101 thinks mommybloggers should get paid. Hard to argue with that.
The ladies of Eat. Blog. Run. chronicled, what appears to have been, a really fun relay event. The sparkly skirts are almost enough to make me want to take up running. I said ‘almost’.
My 31st birthday included a night out on the town with “The Girls” – this post from Meagan Francis helped me get my mind right about how and where to shop. (And the BEST part, I found a top I LOVED at Macy’s – on sale. $17…down from $57. WOO.)
I just signed up for Tracey Clark’s Picture Summer Workshop. I’m like a kid at Christmas waiting for the calendar to roll to July 1st to get my first daily photo prompt. Can’t. WAIT.
Since I’ve been reading Chookooloonks and followed along as Karen wrote and photographed the images for The Beauty of Different, I’ve started to see myself in a different, more positive light. Life is more about what I am these days, then what I am not. I can’t wait to get my hands on the book.
The Pioneer Woman’s Memorial Day weekend photo stream titled “Coming Home” (Part 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) has taken my breath away. I’ve come back over and over to revisit some of the most powerful images I’ve seen captured.
The May Greeblepix Finalists had me looking forward to summer. Especially the image from Mainemomma.
Great insight from Stephanie of Nostophia on how to approach healthy living.
Grilled pineapple is heaven on earth. But until now, the only thing I could think of was to serve it with ice cream – check out The Pioneer Woman’s version of Grilled Chicken Pineapple Quesadillas.
Secrets of Bake Sale Best Sellers – these rules probably also apply to potluck meals. (Isn’t summer practically the official potluck season?)
This visual guide to French grocery shopping from Stephmodo is fantastic.
Giver’s Log has a category called “13 ounces or less” because you can mail the item inexpensively. Check out these sweet may-pole inspired ribbon sticks.
I love Sunset Magazine. They have the best recipes and projects like this DIY backyard tipi.
I want to throw a “Prom Hanks” so bad I can taste it.
I’m surely the last person on earth to hear about Knock-Off Wood. But just in case I’m not. Check it out and prepare to be amazed.
I use Tweetdeck to manage my Twittering. I love it. They’re updating it to make it even more fabulous.
