Friendship Tea

Every year I start with the best of intentions. I hatch wildly ambitious plans to shower my friends, family and neighbors with home-baked goodies that will be so delicious, not to mention, lovingly packaged that they will definitively proclaim it be the “best gift they have ever received”.

Okay, so I’m exaggerating…a bit. And while my baking plans still remain iffy and my wrapping plans have stagnated at purchasing craft bags, some crafty bloggers have it all covered.

Check out this fantastic gift from Rachel Carlson from LostInTheAttic.

Friendship Tea

1 cup tang beverage mix
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup instant tea powder
1/2 cup instant lemonade
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Preparation: combine ingredients and store in a tightly covered jar or tin.  To serve, combine two tablespoons of tea mix with 1 cup hot (hot) water.

For iced friendship tea, use one tablespoon per glass of iced water.

Rachel even whips up a crafty tea tin, which I’m told, is a HUGE hit.
