I am a preschool teacher who thoroughly appreciated every word. I you said exactly everything I want to say on a regular basis to the parents in my class. Basically, relax a little, trust your instincts and remember the positive outcomes of some of your own childhood experiences. A "slacker mom" isn't a negligent mom. Some of my parents are so afraid of being called a slacker (or something else) that they become paralyzed and don't even act on what they instinctively already know without input from someone else. Thanks for the book. I plan on sharing it for sure.
