What was your big dream?
To run in a Marathon with my husband and make it the entire way!
How did you accomplish it?
I planned a schedule, gathered support from friends and family, blogged about it and did my best to stick to my goal. I also didn’t want to let myself (or everyone I told) down, so I knew that no matter what, I would be running.
Where did you find inspiration to get started?
Simply to be healthy. I wanted to find a way to incorporate regular and consistent exercise into my daily routine again and I knew that training for a race would help me develop a good habit.
What motivated you to keep going?
Seeing my improvement along the way was really helpful for me. I knew that I was developing a love for exercise and I was so happy about the on-going results. I also reminded myself that it would have its tough moments (I run much slower than I did when I was a teenager), but that a challenge was just the thing I needed to help me want to improve.
What’s your next Big Dream?
To Write a Children’s Book, I love the books that I read growing up and want to contribute one of my own someday.
Who is your hero?
My husband, he is so kind, patient and is such a hard worker.
What do you wish you did better?
I sincerely wish I could manage my free time a little better to spend with everyone I love. I thankfully do get to spend a lot of time with my husband and baby, but I would love to see my friends, my extended family and my neighbors more often.
What book is on your night stand?
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
What is your favorite lipstick?
I’ve tried to convince myself that I like lipstick, but it hasn’t really worked for me. My very favorite is lip gloss and I love to adorn my lips with Burts Bees Shimmery gloss.
What is your favorite quote?
“Home with where they love you.” (I’m not sure who the original author is for this quote – but I love how meaningful it is to me).
